Guillaume Bresson

Born in 1982 in Toulouse (France)
Lives and works in Toulouse and Paris (France)

Guillaume Bresson graduated summa cum laude from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris in 2007. 
His work questions the notions of staged scenes and narrative in painting. Presented to the public at the exhibition entitled Dynasty organised jointly 
by the Palais de Tokyo and the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris 
in 2010. Guillaume Bresson’s works have since then been shown regularly 
at international institutions such as Kunsthalle in Karlsruhe (Germany) 
for the Lumière Noire exhibition and the Mudam Luxembourg which acquired 
a major work by the artist in 2011. 
He was shortlisted for the second edition of the Jean-Francois Prat Prize (2013) and was awarded the Sciences-Po contemporary art prize in 2010.
He is represented by Galerie Nathalie Obadia (Paris).
