Patricia Treib

2018

Born in 1979, Patricia Treib lives and works in New York.

Treib’s paintings are lyrical assemblages of motifs, shifted and re-shaped into calligraphic gestures that invite new readings of figurative forms.  Her compositions are made from shifts in perspective and focus on the space between forms, making in-betweeness a primary motif.
Trained at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, in New York, and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Treib has exhibited in solo and group shows in New York, London, Madrid, Basel, and at institutional venues such as the Cluj Museum, Romania (2012), and Prague Biennale 5 (2011).
